A twitter question posed by the lovely @OriginalNajeema inspired this post. Her question about the best headphones for music lovers sent me down memory lane. The one thing my second to last serious relationship taught me was a serious appreciation for quality headphones. I’ve always been a gadget geek, but I typically made do with the factory headphones that came with my newest iPod. That is, until I was introduced to the Bose QuietComfort15 noise-canceling headphones. When my ex told me they’d drown out the noise from chatty travelers and babies crying in-flight, I was sold. As with any of my interests, I went overboard and “did the absolute most”, resulting in an accidental headphone collection. My top three loves are VModa’s CrossfadeLPs in white pearl and phantom chrome, and my original Bose QC15s.
The right set of headphones are key to being comfortable on a 17 hour flight. Don’t believe me? Fly from JFK to CPT with only the airline supplied headphones and let me know how that goes.
