Yesterday, after four amazing hours of pampering at The Still Point, I headed to my friend Sara Damelio’s work studio. Sara is the founder of Skincando, an organic skincare company based in D.C. that has garnered a ton of press nationally and around the globe (and an ad campaign in Australia!). Most known for it’s cure-all Combat Ready Balm and support of US troops in Iraq through Operation Sand Flea, Skincando is about to make waves with a new luxe line that features a miracle cream and eye balm. While I was in her studio Sara gifted me the first ever Skincando Luxe Kit! Mayjah.  I asked Sara how Skincando came to be and she simply said, “It was either make cream or get a job”. You all know how I feel about “jobs”, so I’m glad Sara went with the cream and launched her own company. So there you have it folks. Have a beauty idea? Hit the kitchen and get to mixing.
