here/there/everywhere

I spent my Friday in Seattle learning how a Boeing 777-ER300 is designed and manufactured. What did you do today?
During our two weeks in Brazil we experienced the concrete jungle that is Sao Paulo, the remote the fishing village of Picinguaba and the [muddy] randomness of Paraty, a popular weekend getaway town among Brazilians. These were all great experiences, but my favorite leg of the trip was the few days that HA and I spent at Fazenda Catucaba, a rustic chic coffee farm/hotel set in Sao Luiz Do Paraitinga.
I’m in Brazil at the moment partaking in fun and [productive] foolishness with my good friend Helena Andrews. We’re spending the first four days of our two-week trip in Sao Paulo, and Seth Kugel’s ‘36 Hours in SP’ New York Times article has come in handy.
Housed within a renovated 1890s building centered in Toronto’s lively Queen West Art and Design District, the Drake Hotel is a hotbed for culture. The hotel had several Nuit Blanche installations and employs an in-house art curator to keep the party going year-round.
